I will be on blogcation for the next week, I will be hanging out with the three most beautiful under 20 crowd I know for the week. I hope that watching the girls this week will start a new tradition that Aunt KK will get to watch them one week out of each summer until they are all old enough to take care of themselves...which scary enough won't be that many summers, maybe they will invite me to hang out anyway. :)
Before the blogcation starts one sweet thing happened today and I can't keep it to myself. Today at church we found out that a couple who is pregnant is having some issues, the baby is having some issues, she is about 7 months along and they have wanted this baby and been so excited about the arrival. Rhino attends the staff daycare with their 2 year old and they have had some miscarriages and other issues before the current pregnancy. Anyway, we volunteered to fast & pray July 18 & 24 for the baby. Out Pastor asked that someone takes a day from the 23rd of June until July 24 the next appointment to fast from 6-6 or however we see fit, but for sure to be in prayer for this wonderful family. So the sweet moment happened tonight when Nick was putting Rhino to bed, we do two prayers every night the traditional now I lay me down to sleep, then the Dear God prayer where we pray for friends, family, and thank God for our house & the church (& school), Nick while he is at work, and whatever else Rhino wants to pray for which has ranged from his Cars blanket to random things like ants. I don't normally listen in but tonight I heard the statement, "You know his mommy has a baby in her belly." and I had to turn down the t.v. and I heard the following from my husband's mouth, "You know B is expecting a baby brother or sister, remember how excited you were before the fat kid was born and we didn't know if you were having a baby brother or sister, well B's new baby in his mommy's belly is sick and we need to pray that it is born and that it is healthy." Why is that so special? Sometimes I tell Nick pray for this pray for that with Rhino tonight, but I didn't even think about it and here is furthering our sons education on how to be selfless. It just meant a lot to me, more than I can write I guess because I am struggling for words, which is rare, and I can't convey exactly what it meant-other than a lot. So if you pray please pray for the baby and if you don't pray, now is a great time to start. :)

Oh, This Will Be Long
I have a new respect for moms who are taking college classes, I am taking some classes to keep current on my certificate and it is time consuming. These are only 10 hour courses that seem to take way longer. I just don't know many people that have time to sit for well over 2 hours to answer questions and listen to lectures for one section. So this brings me to moms who do online courses and actually go to a classroom, they must be master schedulers and I tip my hat in their direction. I have managed to enjoy sitting in front of the computer for the simple fact I can do it in my pj's and drink my coffee and water, I can start and stop as potty breaks are needed or as the phone rings, and squeeze some part of the class during nap time. The part that makes me feel good is I started the 7th and will be finished by Sunday when I leave for Dacula for the week...then I will have another course to knock out. I actually have learned some stuff so it makes it worthwhile and I have written down 3 books I would like to read.
I must be losing my mind slowly but surely, here is some evidence:
A couple of months ago my sister called and asked if I could watch the girls the last week of June, we had much conversation as to which was the last week of June the 23rd or the 30th and she assured me it was the 23rd, so I wrote it on the calendar. Then I discussed with Natalie not too long after that how we would be out of town the same week so it wouldn't be so bad that I couldn't talk to her for a whole week, she is going to Orlando the week of the 23rd. Now my friend Ashley is having surgery the 30th and needs me to help out with her kids, I told her that I wished I could help her out, but I will be with my sister's kids that week-maybe I could come by in the afternoons to do dinner. (We had this discussion shortly after the two above). So last weekend we were celebrating MoJo's 12th birthday and I said what time to do I need to be here on the 30th? My sister said, the 30th? You mean the 23rd? I said, no the 30th that is when I am watching the girls. She said no you are watching them the 23rd, I said, oh well it doesn't really matter, good thing I mentioned it, what time do I need to be here on the 23rd then? So on Tuesday I was bending over to take the dog out and laughed very hard when I saw on the calendar it is clearly written that I have the girls the week of the 23rd. CRAZY GIRL!
Okay, to continue on in my losing my mind issues:
I totally lost a bottle on Wednesday. The fat kid had 4 oz. left in a bottle and I KNOW I put it in the fridge because formula is expensive and I try not to waste a drop when at all possible. So Nick was going to feed the fat kid the rest of his bottle a little later on in the day....I couldn't find the bottle. We looked in the fridge, by the chair, the couch, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the dog's cage (she's been known to eat bottles), kitchen, laundry room, every place, no bottle. I assured Nick that I know I saved it, I know I didn't throw it out. We never found it so I just made a fresh one. About 2 hours later I was making dinner and went to get the spinach out of the freezer and guess what was in there? Yep, the bottle-WHO DOES THAT? Who is so distracted that they put the bottle in the freezer? So that formula was wasted after all.
Another example:
It is Wednesday night and I have a sudden panicked thought, I am missing a get together. No, today is only Wednesday, tomorrow night is the get together. So Thursday night at 6ish I am putting the fat kid to sleep, Nick is reading #1 a book, and my house phone rings, then my cell phone, it is Natalie. "I forgot!" I say. She says,"Did you forget about us? We are thinking you don't like us anymore?" I say, "I am so sorry!!! I completely forgot!" Yeah, I was supposed to be at Natalie's house looking at one of the cutest puppies in the world with 3 of the most wonderful women I know. I felt like a total flake.
Today I was looking at an educational magazine and it said "CVC Word Chart" and I was like, what is that? Is that the company's name? Oh look they have CVC cards too, that is great, what in the world is CVC? Then I looked at one of the cards, it said hen, then it came to me: consonant, vowel, consonant.
Pretty clear I am losing it!
So, I cheated on my no sweets, I had a strawberry roll-it was GOOD! But I am not upset by my slip up because it didn't throw me completely off like it would have a month ago. I just have done awesome since then. (This was last week). Pretty excited about my tummy the past few days, it looks like it might be going down...the scale hasn't but maybe it will have to physically change first before I see it on the scale. So I am still sitting at 196, still not going to give up! Nick & #1 had milkshakes from Chic-fil-A yesterday, I could've finished #1's but I didn't and Nick got fries too!! Torture pure torture!
Just a little funny:
"Can you read this to me?"
"Not right now, I am about to feed #2."
"I can read it. Listen to me!"
"Read it, I am listening."
"This is the daddy dragonfly, and this is the mommy."
"Let's count them, what number is this? It will tell you how many should be on the page."
"LISTEN TO ME!! DON'T INTERRUPT! I AM READING AND YOU ARE INTERRUPTING! LISTEN TO ME READ! THIS IS THE DADDY..."
(me laughing)
"STOP LAUGHING IT ISN'T FUNNY! LISTEN TO ME READ!"
"It is so funny you won't understand until you become a daddy, like that dragonfly."
"Mommy, please don't laugh, this is serious."
(me trying really hard not to laugh)
"Go ahead and read it to me, I am listening and I am sorry I interrupted your story."
I had to laugh because we are all the time saying, "You need to listen"; "Don't interrupt when two adults are talking"; I guess it is working! :)
One more story about #1:
#2 started crawling on the 17th, he started army crawling on the 14th but started the wobbly on all fours crawl on the 17th.
#1, #2, and I were in #2's room on the 17th:
"Now that #2 is crawling we will all have to be careful what we leave on the floor. #1 you can't keep your little cars on the floor anymore because if #2 gets it the wheel could fall off and he could choke. You can't leave money on the floor either because he could choke on the coins, no more pennies and stuff on the floor. Also, don't leave anything paper on the floor, he can choke on that too, and we don't want him to choke."
"Mommy, you have to make sure there are no tissues on the floor."
"You are right, let's make sure we keep small stuff & tissues off the floor. It wouldn't be good if #2 choked."
"Mommy, I understand and I hear you."
"You understand? That's great! What did I just say?"
(he repeated everything we talked about)
"Buddy, that is great!! I am so proud of you, and thank you for letting me know you understood!"
I didn't know what to say after that, I just hugged him and kissed him. I was in complete shock that he said that, he said it like he was proud too, he said Mommy I understand and hear you like he knew that was coming. His dad often asks if he understands and he asks if hears him often, I guess #1 didn't want to hear all of that again. ;)

100 Things About Me
1. I love cereal, it is my most favorite thing to eat in the whole world. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. I have always loved cereal even as a kid & in college it got worse. In our house growing up you could only open one box at a time, so you had to eat a whole box before you could get to the next toy!! In college I would buy 5 or 6 boxes and have all of them open the next day, my roommate always made fun of me.
2. I love most 90's music, I love almost all of it: rap, alternative, country, techno, rock, pop.
3. I love the FreeCreditReport.com commercials, I will stop what I am doing to watch them...something about the way the guy sings them. I am big on the way someone sings, that is one of the reasons I am a huge Matchbox Twenty fan.
4. I am a huge Matchbox Twenty fan, I traveled to N.C. for the evening one time in college to a concert because there was no ATL date.
5. I love to listen to the Dave Matthews Band, my friend keeps me stocked in the live albums. I also love to watch Dave sing.
6. I have been and probably always will be unhappy with my body, it is a constant pursuit, but right now even more so than normal.
7. I LOVE ice cream, I am not too picky about what kind but I won't do nuts in my ice cream, I won't do nuts in anything.
8. I don't like nuts, any kind.
9. I sometimes think I have a computer addiction, mainly e-mail, but I love to download pictures to share.
10. I love my husband more than he will ever understand.
11. I hate to clean the bathroom.
12. I don't mind the act of doing laundry, I don't mind carrying it to the washing machine and switching from the washer to the dryer, I don't even mind folding it or putting it up, but I would rather not do it all. I wish someone could fold it for me and I would put it up or I could fold it and someone else put it up.
13. I really enjoying sitting down to feed the fat kid when no one else is home or up. It is such a special time, he is my last baby, he is already 6 months old, it is going by too quickly.
14. I love to get massages, firm massages. Nick gives a good massage I always tell him that he missed his calling.
15. I like to look at Nick's butt, a lot, it doesn't matter if it is through his clothes or right after a shower, to me it is almost perfect.
16. I think my husband and children have the most beautiful eyes.
17. I love my job!
18. I like to sing, I can't sing, but I do love to do it.
19. I never sing a song the correct way, for some reason (I blame my mom) I rarely get the words right.
20. My high school years were pretty good, but I LOVED my college years.
21. I have to remind myself to embrace where I am at in life because one day I will miss where I am at right now.

32. I don't have a favorite actor or actress.
33. I pray about 50 times a day, I heard once that if you think of someone you should pray for them, so I spend a good part of my day praying for other people-at random times too.
34. I want to be more involved in our church, I am waiting on our clinic to open & for the unwed mother's home to open. (unwed mother's home will be a little bit longer)
35. I would love to go to the Crayola factory & Kellogg Town.
36. I love Nick's schedule it allows us to all be together a lot.
37. I would rather hang out with Nick than go shopping any day.
38. I wish we had an indoor mall close by, I miss malls.
39. I have a secret desire to redecorate our whole house, not so much wall colors, but pictures and "stuff". However, I would LOVE to gut our bathroom and redo the whole thing including the walls.

41. I get great entertainment going to the gym.

44. No matter how involved I get in church I still like rock & alternative music.

46. I have a great love for my parents. I absolutely love them both with all my heart and admire both of them for different reasons. I couldn't imagine life without them and I wouldn't' change one thing about my life when it comes to my parents-past or present.

60. My friend and I used to send each other a box of Christmas Tree Snack Cakes during the Christmas season, but she gave up sweets last year, so we no longer do that.
61. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas. Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year, I love buying gifts for kids that aren't going to get gifts. I love getting an angel off a tree and going crazy, I would rather buy gifts for kids than adults because I think Christmas is for kids. Christmas has this feeling, I don't know how to describe it, but I get it when I am shopping and I love it!
62. Christmas shopping with Nick is fun, but stressful he is a get in and get it done kind of person, where I want to take my time. I like his motivation to get it done and get it done early, then I get to wrap it all and look at all the presents under the tree.
63. I want to write children's books.
64. I want to co-write a book with my friend titled, "What NOT to Do When You Become A Mother-in-law." I think it would be a best seller.

We aren't friends anymore because one song said something about being in love...I didn't feel the same. We tried to be friends, even after I got married and had #1, but he still wanted more-I didn't-I have what I want.
85. One day I want to give someone a "bouquet of sharpened pencils" because of that movie You've Got Mail, I think it would be neat.
86. I often think of different inventions that would make life easier but I don't know how to sell my ideas.

84. I once had a friendship that worked best when we communicated through songs, I would tell him about a song and he would tell me about another, we would discuss music, songs & their meanings.

Sneaky
I like being a little sneaky every now and then especially when you are trying to do a little something to surprise someone. :) Oh the plans are rolling and in July Nick will be pleasantly surprised.
Do you give random "I love you" gifts, that is what Nick and I call them, just a little "Hey, I was thinking about you" gift. These are the best kind of gifts if you ask me, Nick came home a couple of weeks ago with a Glamour magazine and said, "I know you haven't read one of these in a long time," it was very sweet! If you don't do random I love you gifts or surprise cards in the mail, you should it is a good way to remind the other person how much you love and appreciate them, plus who doesn't like to get a gift or real mail?

The Gym
Tuesday I was at the gym and I was watching the t.v. with the videos and I saw the lamest video I have ever seen Falco's Der Kommissar. I understand that this is an old video and could've been innovative at one point, but seriously, the whole video sucks. I couldn't hear the music for a little while then I heard the "Uh-oh" and I was like I know this song! Here's to the green screen! Today I was at the gym and the guy 2 treadmills down from me got on and I didn't think anything of it until...the coughing & throat clearing started. I can't stand to listen to someone clear their throat over and over unless I know you are sick. This annoyed the crap out of me, I tried to focus on something else really hard, I dissected the Modest Mouse video and figured out that it has something to do with slaughtering sheep which made me think about the words to the song and I don't see how it is all related, I guess because good stuff is coming, we will all float on anyway...anyway, I had to stop my workout 4 minutes early because I was truly deeply annoyed. I had to resist hitting my hand on the treadmill and yelling "ARE YOU SICK OR SOMETHING? I NEED TO KNOW SO THAT I CAN FORGIVE YOU FOR RUINING MY WORKOUT!! ARE YOU A SMOKER?? IF SO, CUT BACK THAT MIGHT HELP WITH THE ANNOYING COUGHING & THROAT CLEARING!!!" I really wanted to yell, "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" Instead I relocated, I could still hear him 2 rows back and trying really hard to concentrate on reading Oprah on t.v.. I wanted to cheer & clap when he finally finished. I was working out hard at this point and had 5 minutes to go and was just about to stop when this song came on, this song will always get me going and man I made it through looking like a lune lip singing to it.
So, still no weight loss...I won't give up, I have 22 pairs of dress pants I can't wear...yes, 22 and 7 pairs of jeans I can't wear and I didn't count my shirts but there are a lot. I can't pass up a good deal, now if I could only get into shoes I would look great, once all my clothes fit again that is. :) I am hoping by September I will look decent so I can have fun in Jamaica and not be all self conscious.
I am calling a night for a bath to finish reading:
I am hoping the ending will be good, I am at a good part where I am guessing what will happen next because what just happened I wasn't expecting at all! :) I love a good book! Once I finish this then I can catch up on reading my Reader's Digests & Health magazines.
One last thing, if you or someone you know has kids I just read today that Imagine It! (Atlanta's Children's museum) is free the 2nd Tuesday of every month!

I Win!
Man, if I had a gold star I would give it to myself! Yesterday one of the cutest kids (besides my own) turned 2 and he had a birthday party. A birthday party ALWAYS includes a cake or in this case a cupcake cake SUPER CUTE! His mom made it a Mickey Mouse cake by putting mouse ears on the cake and they held the candle, that girl is one crafty girl! Anyway, cake we are talking cake! I did enjoy a Coke, today (Sunday) is the last day of Cokes so I had to enjoy (speaking of which I hear one calling my name right now...gotta enjoy it while I can). Back to cake, I had to peel Rhino's paper off his cupcake for him and I didn't lick my fingers and I had a really, really hard time throwing away a cupcake that wasn't really eaten, he ate a majority of the frosting but didn't eat much else besides the HOMEMADE ICE CREAM. My friend has a pretty awesome father in law that makes some good eats, I can't tell you if his ice cream is good because once again I didn't eat it. Talk about temptation!! Seriously, if I had a gold star I would proudly display it on my t-shirt. I can't ruin 8 days, 8 days I don't think I have ever avoided something sweet this long.
At the party I also picked out the smallest hamburger and got one scoop of potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans, then I only put 6 (yes I counted) chips on my plate. I was still hungry, I have been hungry a lot lately, but I didn't eat any more...until I got home then I had a small bowl of cereal.
So for tomorrow June 9th no Cokes and only one bowl of cereal a day, no matter how good it is for me, I have switched to not as sugary or as I like to call it Plain Jane cereal. Cokes won't be that hard to give up, cereal on the other hand...that is going to be tough, possibly tougher than sweets.

What are your odd habits?
Do you have any odd habits? Do anything kind of out there?
Before I got married to my one and only husband, we where dating and I said man I feel bad for whoever marries me they will have to listen to me do brief suck on the toothbrush every night, he laughed...maybe he knew it would be him. Yeah, so I suck the water off my toothbrush after rinsing it at night, not in the mornings just at night. I also can't brush my teeth without doing something else like using the bathroom before bed, taking out my contacts, picking up the bedroom, setting the alarm, brushing my hair, for some reason brushing my teeth triggers many other things I have to do right then.
I also have to kiss the middle of my husband's shoulders at night if I get up to pee or anything like feed the baby (although I haven't had to do that in 3 months THANKFULLY).
At night I make the coffee for the next morning so when I get up all I have to do is push it on, I get really excited about drinking coffee the next morning. As I am putting up the coffee after putting it in the filter I get so excited, I can't wait to enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee. I must be strange, I am okay with that.

It's Been One Week
It's been one week with no sweets...Cokes, but no sweets. This is HUGE for me, I am proud of myself, I have passed on a lot of good stuff. Today, we have a birthday party to attend, birthday cake...hmmm...birthday cake....Pavlov's dog comes to mind, I will make it through without the cake.
Random thoughts, just because my life is full of them:
*Is your dog trained like mine? Does your dog know the difference between the kid's bath running and your bath running? Last night I was finishing folding laundry (everybody loves a good folding party...ha!) and I started running my bath and the dog went straight to her cage for the night, it made me laugh. She knows when the bath water runs, she is up for the night. I walked her and then on she went, I thought, she may not sit on demand but she knows when it is mom's bath time.
*Does your two year old walk around talking about the dog's vagina? Mine does, he told me that Maggie's vagina had poop coming out of it. I said, "Let's not talk about Maggie's vagina, and her poop comes out her butt just like yours, her pee comes out of her vagina." Is it normal for a 2 year old to be curious about body parts...I guess it is.
*At the gym this morning I had to resist the urge of going "YEA, I FINISHED!!" I thought about it, seriously, I was going to raise my arms up in the air and go all out with a small victory dance, but I decided that maybe all the lip singing I did was enough for people to think I was psycho, I don't need to confirm it for them.

Oh I am posting it
If you struggle with your weight then you know it is truly a struggle. I have always been at battle with myself, and it is seriously a battle with myself. I had a baby in December and I only had 9 pounds to go to get to my pre-pregnancy weight and then BAM all of the sudden I am all blown up again. I am not sure what kicked me harder, looking pregnant again or buying a size 18. See I took a 16 to the dressing room fully expecting it to fit...it didn't...I almost cried walking out to get an 18 to try it on just to see if I needed a 20. I know for some people that an 18 would be a happy moment, but when you are normally a 12 or 14 and never once had to buy an 18 that is a pretty big deal. Anyway, I am officially a Weight Watchers drop out. I thought WW would be the answer, but for some reason it just wasn't working in with my life, mainly I wasn't ready. Weight Watchers works, it does, I just need something a little different.
So this is day 4 of no sweets, 5 days if you include the day I started. I just got up Sunday morning and said today is the day, no more sweets (for a little while). Nick said, "Let's get ice cream." I went but didn't partake, I was proud...very proud. Then on Monday I wanted some candy but resisted and someone offered me CHOCOLATE and I avoided it. Tuesday wasn't hard to avoid it, today at Chic-fil-A they are promoting their Handspun Milkshakes and were giving out samples and I resisted even though Rhino and Nick ate one. These are small steps to a big thing. I am proud of myself...it is also a bit of a personal challenge to me...and right now I am winning.
So the big part of this post: I weighed in this morning at 196.0 and I hope next week is lower.
Giving up Coke next week...that will be tough!
