For Monkey

Today in the truck we listened to this song because Rhino wanted to listen to the red cd. I said you want to listen to Ozzy Ozbourne? He said yes! So the first song came on and I was singing along and then really for the first time realized what he was actually singing and then I was like Monkey's 36 Rules!

"Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe its not to late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you have the role"

Maybe I am not too far off base with some of the things you have said lately including a recent faculty post as well.

I must say the line, "mental wounds that will not heal," is very much where I am tonight. I don't know that anyone can say anything or do anything to make my situation better. I can truly say I have been hurt to the core over today!

My own post! :) I must say that music is so amazing how you can be listening to it and feel like the words at that moment are so right on with how you are feeling. "right on" ---that is so 70's. The thoughts on faculty, etc...if every year of life has a theme, I think I have to look back on this one and feel as though for me it was the year of enlightenment where people and relationships with those people are involved.
